Well I posted it because the Default is 90%. I have no idea why anyone would want it set to anything less than 100%.It's one of those stupid settings that screams for someone to hack. I'm sure the setting gives them the base code to write their cheat from. More setting options is not a good thing in my opinion.

OK............Mines at 100 % allready, i thought you meant you can do in a system file, like in ut2004 ini file

ok......how you do it?
Click Options, then in the Video Tab you will find it at the bottom of the choices.

Not that much of a difference really, you can see the building better and a few lamposts. :P

I just thought I'd mess around with the View Distance Scale to see what it does. There has been some discussion about fog distance on the server. So I set Mine at the 2 different extremes to see what they looked like. The default is 90%.

Here is what I got. If you didn't know maybe this will help.
