Headed for Denver.
Well we leave for Denver on Fri. Aug. 1st. and will not be back till maybe the 8th. I'm posting now because I expect I'll be busy tomorrow night.
If you've been under a rock for the past few months then you don't know that I have a rare Lung disease. I'm headed there to see a specialist and to have some tests done. Mon. will be VERY hectic for me as most of the testing will be done then. I'll have a PFT test, thats basically a volume and oxygen absorption test. Stress test, and a few others that day. Plus I have to wear a heart monitor for the day because Tues. they are putting me out to do a double lung lavage. I've had that done before, but not both lungs the same day. Thats when the plug one lung and put it on a ventilator and flush the other with saline. The last times they did it they told me the stuff that came out looked like "gray chunky oatmeal" I'm going to ask for a sample bottle because I've never seen it. I have to stay overnight at the Hospital that night, so I'm told. The next 2 days will be follow ups from the tests. I'm taking a medicine now to treat this, but it is VERY expensive (about $200 a dose) at least it is to me and I have to take a dose every day. . . So I hope they have an idea as to how much, and for how long I will be needing to take this drug. This is nothing they can cure but it can be controlled. Some lucky people even go into a remission of sorts.
We're taking a laptop with us so when I get the chance I'll post some Pics, and try to click the adds everyday LOL.
I've had to get all my medical records to take with me. Most of my X-Rays are on a disk and I was able to pull most of the off so I could show you all what my lungs look like.
Below is 3 X-Rays, the first 2 are mine from Feb. before I had anything done. The second is a normal X-Ray I found on the Internet. Notice the ghost like cloud in mine. Thats the protein that is filling my lungs LOL.

Good luck with this, I am sure everything will be fine
Try and keep in touch and let us know how things are going. I was wondering, do you have medical insurance? The med's you are taking are very expensive, that has to make a big dent in your expenses, it would ours. I was wondering if you could get it cheaper somewhere else, like walmart or off the net. Just a thought

The Hospital I'm going to is right across the street from "John Elway Ford" so I might take a leak there too LOL. I need a Chiefs shirt.
The medicine I take has no generic, it actually is a recalled Leukemia medicine that is used to build up a specific type of white blood cell. It was recalled because it causes blood clots in the legs of elderly women. I had to get special permission from the drug manufacture to be allowed to even get the drug.
Thanks , and I'll keep you posted.

Well we made it to Colorado Springs ok. We stopped at the geographical center of the lower 48 states on the way. We plan to go and spit off the Royal Gorge tomorrow. I have no idea what else we may do.
On a side note my O2 levels are down because of the altitude. At home I am from 95% to 98%, but here just sitting I'm at 90% . . . Looks like I'm going to break out the Oxygen tank again LOL !
Here are a few pics of the trip across Kansas.

Bro is that your lil girl smoking a cigarette? (I know it's prolly a lolly pop but I couldnt resist) Hope your O2 gets back up there bro... It's no doubt that it would be low in Colorado though, the altitude being higher and thin of O2 to begin with is why alot of fighters go there to improve their cardio.
Keep posting and stay positive man.

Well it was a busy day, started off with "The Garden of the Gods". Then we went to the train for Pikes Peek. There was a 3 - 4 hour wait and they said the trip was going to take 1:30 mins one way so we decided not to wait. From there we drove and drove to the "Royal Gorge". It seamed to take forever to get there, the highways go around the mountains. . . Plus I was looking around on the way there and was driving slow I guess. I did manage to spit off the side of the bridge when I thought nobody was looking LOL. There was a death trap helicopter ride that we did NOT take. I do have some video of it I'll post when we get home. Plus a video of the slide. On our way back we stopped at the Army base and looked at some Tanks. We're going the Denver tomorrow, I don't know what we'll do besides drive. . . . .
Waiting in line . . . . . .

Well Denver from What I've seen is very different from Colorado Springs. It's a lot nicer and the highways make more science. I'll say this about the Colorado highway system, IT F U C K I N G SUCKS! The highway exits are not always marked, and there is NEVER a sign telling you what town/city your entering.
Anyway, we didn't do much today. We did go see some dinosaur bone, and the Air Force Academy. Not much to see at the Air Force. I start my medical stuff in the morning so I'll keep you posted. May not have anymore pic, unless the kids take some that don't suck . . . LOL
These are the biggest turtles I've ever seen.
A lot of these have this weird eye bone.
Here are the rest.
