The 2D shape tool can be used to build more complex BSP brushes. For those of you that don't have access to MAYA, 3DS MAX, Lightwave, etc. THis tool can help you build things such as Arched doorways/Tunnels, Trim, bottles, curved sections. The list goes on.

Just to get you started, open the 2D shape tool...You are presented with a square....bigdeal right. Ok as you can see the square has for Vertex points on it. Click on the top left vertex, now right click and choose split.
(SPLITS GO CLOCKWISE) and way you could split the top a few more time and start pulling those newly created verts into more of a rounded shape. After you are satisfied with your new shap, up in the top right of the 2D shape tool is the extrude button. Click this, set a thickness and press ok, close the tool and you will see the newly created brush in the Ued panes. Rotate/Move into place and subtract or add, depends on what your doing.
